Course Details
Climbing is a fun, exhilarating way to spend time in some truly beautiful places. It’s an activity that we think everyone should experience at least once in their life, but the skills, knowledge and equipment needed to climb safely can put people off. And that’s where we come in.
At KQ Mountaineering we offer three main types of climbing course:
Introduction to rock climbing
Aimed at families and groups, this outdoor top-roping session is designed for beginners or indoor climbers who are taking their first steps towards climbing outdoors. It’s a really fun course that involves lots of climbing, along with some useful coaching to improve your technique.

Guided climbing
This course is perfect for people who already have a bit of climbing experience, having maybe completed our introduction to rock climbing course, or perhaps done some indoor climbing. Join us and you’ll get to tackle classic routes like Little Chamonix in Borrowdale, safe in the knowledge that you’re being looked after by our expert instructors.

Climbing skills
This course is tailored to your learning aims, making it suitable for any climber who wants to improve their technique through coaching, or learn new technical skills. For example, you may be starting to lead climb, or might just want to learn the skills needed to set up top-ropes for you and your climbing partner.
